After an eight-year break, Family Groove Company is making their comeback on the Redstone Room stage, now refreshed and revitalized! Presales will conclude when the doors open, and tickets may be purchased at the door based on availability. Genre: Jazz/Rock Doors open at 6:30 PM, with the show starting at 8:00 PM. Tickets are priced at $20 if bought in advance and $25 at the door. Seating is general admission, with no guaranteed seats, although table reservations are available. This event is open to all ages, but individuals under 19 must be accompanied by an adult. ABOUT THE ARTISTS Family Groove Company blends the groove influences of funk and jazz icons such as Herbie Hancock and Medeski, Martin, and Wood with intricate songwriting inspired by artists like Steely Dan and the Beatles. This combination creates a captivating sound they describe as “groove informed jazz/rock.” Their music features rich analog keyboards, tight guitar riffs, and a rhythm section that keeps the energy flowing, making it impossible not to dance. Originating in Los Angeles where the four musicians met in music school, the band settled in Chicago in late 2002. Over their career, they have performed over 1,000 shows across 34 states, gracing more than 350 venues. Their impressive performance history includes 19 consecutive years at the Summer Camp Festival in Illinois and gigs at notable Chicago venues like the Riviera Theater and Vic Theatre. They have shared stages with renowned artists such as Victor Wooten, moe., Umphrey’s McGee, and Lotus. The band has released five full-length albums: Reachin’, The Charmer, Live in Chicago, Models and Metrics, and Through with Tomorrow.
