ABOUT THE ARTISTS The Travelin’ McCourys are more than just a band; they are a force in bluegrass music, having grown up immersed in the genre through their work with the Del McCoury Band. Ronnie McCoury (mandolin) and Rob McCoury (banjo) learned the craft by performing live, gaining invaluable experience along the way. For years, they contributed to the success of the Del McCoury Band alongside Jason Carter, Mike Bub, and later, Alan Bartram, shaping the band's modern sound—one that is precise, powerful, and deeply connected to the audience. As bluegrass evolved in the late '90s and early 2000s, Ronnie and Rob witnessed a shift in the music scene, where audiences began to embrace acoustic music with an exploratory spirit. With every member holding at least one International Bluegrass Music Association Award, the musicianship in The Travelin’ McCourys is top-notch. The addition of fiddle player Christian Ward further broadened their musical range, infusing their sound with urgency and innovation. Their self-titled debut album showcased their distinct voice, blending influences from bluegrass legends and incorporating
