The album is inspired by a 19th-century Scotch-Irish folktale, transforming it into a children’s folk rhyme and ultimately into a deep exploration of consciousness and the metaphysical struggles that shape our fragile lives amid pain, fear, confusion, beauty, love, and wonder. A raw and honest reflection of his innermost self, moony presents a self-produced work that is bold, chaotic, and surprisingly relatable. "William Trimtoe" offers an hour-long experience of alternative rock that blends various genres, including hardcore, psychedelic, electronic, singer-songwriter, indie, and even Gaelic folk. With a raw and unfiltered approach, moony dives straight into the essence of his music, crafting a unique world through his songwriting. As a songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, he expertly navigates a diverse sonic landscape that combines edgy alt-rock, hardcore, mellow indie, and catchy pop. After serving as the frontman and primary songwriter for the indie rock trio Honest Men until their disbandment in 2022, moony is now fully embracing his artistic vision.
